Join Amanda Lanicek of Springtown ISD and ClassLink to journey through the Cybersecurity Rubric 2.0, discovering how the use of the assessment results will enable you to develop a strategic plan for improvement. The rubric was designed to measure cybersecurity effectiveness in school systems by gauging cybersecurity practice maturity levels against the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework 2.0. We will also explore ClassLink’s Audit Center which provides a central repository where you can store your cybersecurity rubrics you do every single year, gathering that data to help you prioritize your efforts to increase your security posture. Your journey to a more cyber-secure school system begins here!
Elijah Goins This session presents findings from a comprehensive research initiative examining E-Rate trends across Texas, built from dozens of district engagements, conferences, and support calls. Our analysis reveals that Texas districts have missed over $9.5 million in reimbursements since 2019 averaging $1.91 million annuallyw ith 15.13% of Category 2 budgets unused and 5.89% of committed funds never disbursed. We’ll explore the root causes of these gaps and showcase how forward-thinking districts are proactively overhauling their E-Rate management. Districts in attendance will also have the opportunity to opt into a live funding analysis to benchmark their own E-Rate performance against statewide trends and identify areas for immediate improvement.
